How much does a .at domain cost?+
The total price for standard .at registration is €12.99 for the first year. The total renewal price is currently €15.99 per year. Exceptional cases are checked before an order.
Can I register .at without an Austrian address?+
Generally, yes. nic.at allows individuals and organisations to register .at domains. Holder information must be accurate; additional verification may be required.
Can I use my own nameservers?+
Yes. Change the nameservers of your registered domain in your account. With external nameservers, manage DNS records at that DNS provider.
Which DNS records can I manage?+
Management supports A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, CAA and SRV. Default nameservers use atdomain DNS. DNSSEC management is not enabled at launch.
Does this include website or email hosting?+
We currently sell domains. Hosting and mailboxes are not included. Connect your domain to external services through DNS.
Which other extensions are planned?+
.co.at, .or.at, .com, .net, .de and .ch are prepared. Prices will be published before sales open. The .at prices apply only to .at.
How can I pay?+
Pay by card directly in our order form. Stripe processes the payment while checkout stays on our website. You see the total price before paying.
Does adding a domain to the basket reserve it?+
No. Only a completed registration secures a name. Availability is checked again before payment and before registration.
