Before moving
Review holder details, record your current DNS configuration and check your extension’s rules. Many transfers need an authorisation code from the previous provider. Transferring a domain does not move website files or mailboxes.
Keep services reachable
Keep existing hosting and email active as long as you need them. If you also want to change nameservers, prepare the new zone first. Timing, confirmations and effects on the term depend on the extension.
