Several domains for one website: plan useful name variants
Do you need several domains for your project in Austria? Compare their purpose, .at total prices, website redirects and email before registering extra names.
Read guide ↗Two matching domains, one payment: check the .at bundle with .com or an approved .net alternative, both registrations and the later renewal totals.
Our bundle costs €29.99 total for the first year and includes a new .at domain plus the available matching .com domain. You must explicitly choose a .net alternative before payment. Each domain is registered separately and has its own status. Check both confirmations: one payment alone does not confirm that both registrations are complete.

Would you like an Austrian address and another extension for the same project name? First give the second address a specific purpose: perhaps an international version you intend to advertise, or another route to the same website. IANA lists .at as a country-code extension. This creates neither a requirement to buy a second domain nor a promise of search visibility. If you only need one Austrian address, compare the individual .at registration too. The bundle is a defined pair of names rather than a reason to collect every possible ending. Choose the smallest selection you can maintain sensibly.
Compare .at and .com for your intended useGive each additional domain a clear purposeWrite down your preferred name with each extension and compare the spelling character by character. Hyphens, extra words and different representations of an umlaut all matter. Availability of the .at name does not establish availability of the matching .com address. Check the actual pair in the search, and remember that a positive availability result is not a reservation. Avoid choosing a similar-looking variation that would be difficult to explain later. Consider other people’s rights separately from availability: nic.at’s conditions place responsibility for naming and trade mark rights on the applicant. Buying two names does not create trade mark protection.
Check your preferred name and the offered pairPrepare your name research before orderingIf the matching .com address is unavailable, a matching .net domain is an option only when it is offered and you explicitly approve it before payment. Consider whether you can say the ending clearly and whether it suits your planned use. The order must not silently receive a different name afterwards. Review the final summary even if you have already performed a search. If neither .com nor .net suits your project, return to the naming decision. An available extension is not a reason to order a pair you do not want. Keep a note of the exact two addresses you approved.
Both bundle variants currently cost €29.99 total for the first year of the two domains. Each domain covers one year; the price does not mean an upfront three-year .at registration. nic.at’s conditions describe an annually recurring service period. Budget for renewing both names afterwards. The following totals use today’s unchanged prices; they are planning figures rather than a promise of future prices. Website, redirect and mailbox services may cost extra. Arrange renewals in good time at the price offered. There is no automatic card charge, so keep the relevant dates and responsibilities in your project notes.
| Selection | First year total | Annual renewal total |
|---|---|---|
| .at + matching .com | €29.99 | €30.98 |
| .at + approved .net | €29.99 | €38.13 |
| One .at domain only | €12.99 | €15.99 |

The single bundle payment covers both ordered registrations. The included second domain does not require an additional payment. However, the registrations proceed separately: one can be confirmed while the other is still being processed. Check both complete names and their individual registration statuses in your account. A reachable parking page does not replace that check. If one domain remains pending, do not place a precautionary replacement order or pay again. Ask for the existing order to be checked using its reference. Longer processing does not by itself mean registration has failed. Keep the distinction between payment, registration and the later website connection clear.
Check the steps after confirmed registrationAsk for help with the existing orderEnter the person or organisation that should actually hold the domains. Check the contact address and spelling before completing the order. Afterwards, match the contract documents and registration confirmations to their respective complete domain names. A message about one member does not establish the outcome of the other. If a confirmation is missing, also check your account and spam folder; do not repeat the purchase merely because a message is absent. For a support request, use the existing order reference and describe the specific unresolved point. Do not send card details, passwords or access keys. Retain the documents so you can later identify the services included.

Decide which domain should be the main website address and what should happen at the other. Registration does not create a finished website, automatically configure a redirect or provide a mailbox. We include DNS management with our default nameservers at atdomain.at, and custom nameservers are supported. We do not sell hosting or email mailboxes. Ask your chosen web service whether it supports both names and how to configure HTTPS and any required redirect. Existing email connections remain a separate task. Follow that service’s current instructions and test each public address individually after connecting it.
Distinguish a web redirect from a DNS connectionPlan the domain separately from additional servicesRecord each confirmed domain, its responsible person, planned purpose and next relevant date. Domains bought together should still be individually identifiable in this inventory. Before renewing, review whether you continue to need both names and clarify any changes in good time. Previously paid three-year plans are unaffected by this new offer: they retain their promised registration and two included annual renewals. For a new purchase, choose the currently offered individual registration or matching pair. Review the final total immediately before payment. A clear record helps anyone taking over the project distinguish the original purchase from later renewal decisions.
