Plan the domain and mailbox separately
The domain is the part to the right of the @ sign. Names such as contact or office on the left are configured with the email service. Buying a domain does not automatically create these mailboxes. Before registering, check how many mailboxes you need and whether your mail plan supports custom domains and your required features. Compare domain prices and ongoing mail costs separately. You can then choose website services independently of email.

Connect the mail service through DNS
After confirmed registration, your mail service supplies the required records. MX records route incoming messages; additional TXT or CNAME records may verify the domain or authenticate sending. Copy the exact names and values from your own mail account. There is no universal MX address for every domain. If you use custom nameservers, edit DNS with the service operating them. Changes may take time to become visible everywhere.

Test before your first business message
Create the mailboxes with your email service and test messages in both directions using an independent address. If you already use domain email, plan any switch carefully: buying a domain or changing DNS does not move old messages. Keep an accessible contact email for domain management and act on any verification requests. The domain still needs renewal when you use it exclusively for email.
